Karie, I couldn't agree with you more! I think that more will happen at home if a parent actually sits down and reads with their child. If a parent doesn't sit down, then yes a child will get frustrated and end up giving up if the book is too hard. I think that the parents should sit down and help a child conquer a book that's a little bit more challenging even if the book isn't on their "AR" level.
