I understand now what you're talking about. I just hadn't heard those terms before. I think any of the social bookmarking sites would be good for either of those tasks.

I've seen teachers compile lists of websites students could use for research projects, so I'm assuming you could do the same for your webquests.

One alternative you could do on the webquest idea is have students Scoop websites that answer your questions using their own ScoopIt site.

I also think that a collection of writing resources using a social bookmarking site would be great!
