Scavenger Hunt

I've done internet scavenger hunts two ways. The first is when I introduce something like a research website or a library website, and I want my students to look at all the parts of the website. I give them a list of things to find and describe. For example on the library page "Where do you look to see what books you have checked out?" Students seemed to enjoy the scavenger hunts, and it's more fun than me lecturing on where to go on the website for everything.

I've also used it for culture scavenger hunts. Where I find a website that has a lot of good information about a culture we might be studying and give students a list of questions they have to find on the website. Students overall seem to enjoy it.

Thanks Robyn! Have you ever done scavenger hunts on the internet before? Do they work? I haven't done them yet but I'd like too!!

Thanks Robyn! That seems like a great idea! I think it's something I might try with my students.
