Favorite Book....

That is a tough question for me actually. I love so many books. On the scale of all time favorites list my stock answer is Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. Although, I very much loved Great Expectations and The Count of Monte Cristo (literally couldn't put it down -- was up till 4 am reading it). Ayn Rand's Anthem was short but really good (although I wasn't really a fan of her other works). However, I also love children's books too. I love Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan and The Lemonade War by Jaqualine Davies was absolutely amazing! Harry Potter was brilliant and so was Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse (beautiful book). I recently read Wild by Cheryl Strayed -- devestating memoir but beautifully written (I cried so many times while reading that book!) The Glass Castle was also just so amazingly good (I read it out loud to my husband, he liked it too, lol!). The Idiot Girls' Action Adventure Club by Laurie Nataro is the FUNNIEST book I have ever read. Oh my gosh it was funny! Something Borrowed and Something Blue were both really good. I hated the character Darcy in Something Borrowed and didn't think it was possible but grew to love her in Something Blue (talk about a pair of books that make you feel morally conflicted). I just adore YA author Cassandra Clare and her two series The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire) and The Infernal Devices (Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, and Clockwork Princess). The Hunger Games was good but Cassandra Clare's books are better! Oh, my list could go on...but I will stop there! LOL! I told you that was a hard question for me. People always ask that and I never know what to answer. To me, picking my favorite book is like picking my favorite child. :)

I am the exact same way! I feel like I just don't have time for T.V, or I might be too ADD to sit in front of it very long. I like this, but hate it, because I always feel like I am so behind when it ... more
