I could definitely see how meeting the needs of those students could be difficult. Often when you try to meet their basic foundational skills the lessons do not match up with the maturity level of those students because they are mostly designed for younger students. What kinds of things do you do with them to address those needs?

        Basically I just do the "regular" way with them; good old differentiation and modification with a healthy dose of extra one-on-one time to work on things like sight words, etc.
