The class album is a great idea. I know that at my old school (I'm not sure if we have it at my new school) we had a chart printer. You could take a regular sized document and make charts out of it. Maybe I could print them out and hang them up in the room, so they aren't only available on the smartboard.

Dictionaries are important and I often struggle with the fact that I don't teach my kids to use the paper dictionary that well. I have trouble with this because of the shift in the generation. When you want to figure out a word where do you go? The big book dictionary you have laying at your house? The first thing I do is pull out my smart phone or go on the computer and look it up. Sometimes I struggle with this because when I was in school the paper dictionary was a huge thing, but is it all that important in this technology driven generation?

Breanna, I really liked the idea as well of taking the pictures of kids and having them label them. Where do you think you would put these pictures after you took them? Would you start a class album? ... more
