I am glad to have access to these resources because it is not easy to find good apps that are free/cheap that you can use for literacy (especially with the upper grades). There seem to be so many geared toward younger students. At our school we have an iPad cart that teachers can check out. Granted, it's one iPad cart that has to be shared with the whole school. Getting an app placed on them is literally a huge long process. However, I am excited to take the knowledge I've gained and share it with my Vice Principal (he's in charge of the iPads) and see if we can get some of these apps added onto the iPads.

What are mini-lap tops? Is it like a mobile lab or does each kid have one that they can carry with them or is assigned to them?
