I internally groan when I think about the EOG's being on-line but then I realize that the MAT, which I had to take to get into grad school was an on-line assessment. I do wonder how that transition will happen when you only have so many class sets of computers to offer children. At my school we are fortunate enough to have three computer labs. However, most of our grade levels are four classes each. When we take our on-line benchmarks we always have to split one class up and then the left over children test on the desktops in the classroom (well two classrooms because it's usually around 8 children that are "left over") with one person monitoring those kids. I can't imagine DPI being ok with that set up.
