I actually enjoyed writing the T.C. Boyle paper a lot. I felt as if the T.C. Boyle paper was extremely easier to write than the personal narrative. Even though I didnít know it, Iím better than I thought at writing literary analysis. I wasnít quite sure why I didnít do a good job on the personal narrative because one would think that it to be simple because itís about you. When I was writing the literary analysis theme paper, I jumped right into the paper and flew right through it. I felt as if I had much strength in my T.C. Boyle paper. I thought I had a well-written thesis and that I had many direct quotes to back up all the information that I was stating. All my quotes completely proved how the author felt towards the characters and how the theme of the two stories made each main characters personality, the way it was. I used your formula for writing the literary analysis paper and it actually helped a lot but I still was having problems getting the paper to be a complete 4 pages long. I felt as if I had a really strong 3 and a half page paper and that it completely covered all the topics I needed to. I also felt that by adding more, would just make the paper sound too wordy because they were unnecessary facts and details that I added just so my paper would be 4 pages. I thought the quotes I chose to explain how obsession fit each character perfectly, were great quotes. My choice of quotes was great fitting and all my supporting facts were also well thought out. I felt as though adding extra details made me feel like I was repeating myself throughout the middle paragraphs. Iím nervous to see my grade on this paper because I feel like I did a good job on this paper and hopefully my grade reflects how I think I did. I do believe I did much better on this paper over the personal narrative though. It honestly depends on how you think because I think more in depth when it comes to analyzing things and describing the contents of a story.

BOO! How did writing your Boyle paper differ from writing your personal narrative? Which one did you find easier to write? What do you feel were the strengths of your Boyle paper? Weaknesses?
