The Boyle paper for me was much easier being that we did have short stories to use instead of entire novels and it was not that hard to pick out specific examples from the text to support our papers. The personal narrative I had to pick and choose which details were important and which ones were not. Being that the subject in which I wrote my personal narrative about did happen over time there was a lot of information that could be added but was not necessarily important to what I was trying to prove. With the Boyle paper I feel that my strength was in the amount of details I added to further talk about the themes and how they applied to each story and the characters throughout. My weakness could be found in the way that I organize my paper although I followed how the paper should be formatted by each paragraph, I often found myself rambling on and on even feeling that I was often repeating myself. Another weakness in which I felt that I had while writing this paper was my proof reading. Although rough drafts are for that sole purpose of being a rough draft I always tend to feel as though my paper is never good enough and question myself on whether or not I am adding the right information that the reader is looking for. I tend to have a lot of problems writing papers but this Boyle paper being about theme I found it easier for me to write being that in high school we were practically conditioned to write theme papers and get a better understanding of what the authorís purpose was. The stories in which I wrote about were The Human Fly and Big Game which was not that hard to write a theme paper about. Thanks to the guidance we got from Mr. Bate I had the paper pretty much figured out and set up. Letting multiple people read and critique my papers often help me out a lot because if I did not have someone other than myself proof reading, letís face it my paper would be a hot mess.

BOO! How did writing your Boyle paper differ from writing your personal narrative? Which one did you find easier to write? What do you feel were the strengths of your Boyle paper? Weaknesses?
