Upon submitting my personal narrative I felt very proud about what I had just completed. The personal narrative paper was the largest paper I have ever written before, but I think that the four pages filled quickly once I got started. There were a lot of good parts and also there were some points that I didnít exceed quite as much on. I do feel that my thesis in my narrative was very strong and that it would interest most people to keep reading. When I go back and read over my paper I strongly believe that the thesis was the best part for me, and I am proud of what I was able to come up with for it. Another strong part in the paper was at the point where I was describing the inside of the Hockey Hall of Fame, all of the memorabilia in the glass displays and the simulators they had to offer there. This was the point in the paper that was when I was describing what the impact was and how greatly it affected me, therefore I tried really hard to make sure it made sense and was very descriptive. The part that was the most difficult to me was the last two paragraphs because I feel as though I was just running out of wind in the sails and that I may have rushed the paper a little bit. I did try on these paragraphs but I donít think that I did get quite as much effect to the reader as I was hoping to. I found writing the thesis much easier than writing the conclusion, which is the complete opposite of how I usually am when I write a paper. The process I used for writing the paper was that I wrote it beginning to end in hope to make sure that I used chronological events and to make sure that the paper made complete sense. I feel that doing it that way did help me in that aspect. On reflection I wish that I would have wrote two or three rough drafts for you to critique before I turned in my final draft, but thatís just something I have learned to do next time. Overall I was very happy with the end result of my personal narrative, it was actually a fun paper to write and it took me back to the biggest turning point in my life.
