I knew what I wanted to do for the personal narrative, the minute I read the prompt. I did not do any brainstorming because I knew exactly what I wanted to say and how. The timeline was simple and writing the paper just flowed for me. Since this paper was all about me, I did not have to take a break and think about what I wanted to write next. When I first realized that it had to be four pages, I freaked out a little. But, as I wrote my paper four pages came out so easily, in fact those four pages ended up being seven pages total. I did not write multiple drafts. I did it all at once. I asked my boyfriend to read over it and look for any grammatical errors. I also had my mom read over it just because the only person that would understand this paper almost as much as me, was my mom. She told me that she cried from reading it and that it was a very well written paper. She definitely boosted my confidence on how great my paper was. I feel most proud of my paper on how much I described the five special children and how much they made an impact on me. I could have gone on and on about them because I have so many stories about them. While writing the paper I was smiling just thinking about them. To this day, they still make me happy. The thing that I am most apprehensive about my paper is how well my paper flowed. I have always had a problem with making my paper flow. I think that I tend to babble a lot when I write my papers. For this paper though, I would say that I feel more confident about the flow of this paper, than of any other paper I have ever written. Mostly because the paper was more like a timeline than in other papers I have written and because it was all about me and my life. I was proud of myself for not waiting until the last minute to write the paper. I am known to procrastinate a lot when it comes to writing papers. But for this one, I am glad that I did it right away.
