For the T.C Boyle paper I was literally freaking out about it because I was originally thinking we had to write 2 separate papers at least 2 pages each which would of been horrible, but I can deal with just writing a regular 4 page paper. I have chosen to do a compare and contrast paper feeling like it would be much easier then a theme paper I just have to outline all the comparisons and differences in the 2 stories. I really don't know what stories to do since you ruled out the 2 best ones to do in Modern Love and Carnal Knowledge. I actually end up doing a theme paper now that I'm actually thinking a theme paper just because it would less work but still be at least 4 pages long. The thing is I have less time then your average student even your athlete I'm usually one of the last ones to leave practice so I have maybe 4 hours to analyze a day and type this paper. I know it's a lot, but since I live with 3 athletes it's a lot tougher then it seems. I feel like I'm lucky if I pass this class. I'm glad since I was one of the 2 Fs on the last paper I still got plenty of opportunities to push my grade up like this and the paper. This should be a whole lot easier then the first one because I never really had a dramatic life changing event like some other people did. Thats why my paper seemed off track and lacked one true focus. I just believe the fact that everything happens for a reason and when I moved there was a reason why it happened and now I'm figuring out why it happened God wanted me to live my dream. I really have no idea what I'm going to write about even though its due in 10 days. The goal on this is to get an A thats I'm hungry for. Don't know if you've ever heard that, but I'm competitive and I strive for the best. Even on an english paper I'm trying to get it done to the best that I can do. Word Count 362

Which option for the Boyle paper have you chosen (Theme or Compare/Contrast)? If theme, what theme have you chosen and why? What stories have you chosen for your paper and why?
