Thank you so much, you gave me some great tips! I will definitely have to buy "Bringing Words to Life: Robust Vocabulary Instruction", that seems like such a great research. When I was in a 2nd/3rd combination class she did read to self and that worked great too! I have not observed a fluency, writing, or vocabulary center but those sound like great ideas that I need to remember. Good luck in 3rd grade this year, I'm sure it will be great!
