I agree that using data summaries more often would help the process of analyzing data. Completing these summaries really forces you to pause and look at the facts/data. I think doing data summaries every two weeks would be really beneficial if the time period of the research was going to be short, whereas if you were collecting data over a year, a data summary would be every 3-4 weeks. I love that you are focused on your students' writing, I'm excited to see your results! How often do you collect your data? How do you collect data? Do you upload student writing samples? I feel like it would be difficult to translate writing into numerical data.
