Math videos

I think it would help in a lot of classrooms as well. I know that I have used Youtube videos a ton to learn how to knit, etc. so I thought why not in my room? Just to clarify what Jennie said, not all of my colleagues use it. I think it is generating some interest because of the success my students seem to have with it. I know a math teacher has used it in the past. The one challenge is getting the students that don't have computers. I do tend to use it as review, so that it isn't a new topic that they have to have the next day. That gives me time to "hunt down" the kids that need to watch at school. It does free up a class day spent on a lectured review, which is very valuable and allows for students to pace their own learning.
