I wonder when students either become a "reader" or a "nonreader'? There are so many factors that would seem to influence it, but sometimes I think it just comes down to finding a book they like. I argue with a math teacher about this all the time, because he will tell the students he hates reading. I also argue you just hating reading something you don't want to read. Which is true because he will devour a book he actually likes (even if so far in his 30 years it has only been three books).

So the million dollar question is how to get kids to think they might actually like to read AND think about the book? :)
