It is interesting that you bring this up because our student conferences with one group are just like that. We talk to them and they sound wonderful, but what is written down is drastically watered down version of the great ideas they had.

There was a lot of modeling and reteaching during this study. The graphic organizers and pretest let me know where the breakdowns were, so I was able to model much of what was needed.
