From my project and the process of the research I learned both the complexity of conducting teacher research within the classroom, in addition to the simplicity of conducting teacher research within the classroom. Teacher research is something that can easily be done on a daily basis and throughout the school year if you are just collecting data for yourself as the instructor. I believe it was difficult to write and document all of the things we already knew as teachers, because we had to write them down and explain our reasoning in order to provide proof and data. If the data is just for yourself as the teacher then you wouldn't have to go through the documentation process especially if you were just conducting regular research within your classroom.

From what I've learned, I now know the benefits of differentiated instruction and that it really does make a difference in a student's academic growth. I have a renewed faith in the theories I have learned at ASU and now I am more aware of the research that supports these theories. It is such a rewarding experience to witness the results of educational theories and instructional techniques benefit the students in your classroom.

I definitely plan to engage in teacher inquiry at the school I work at, with my county, within my grade level, and within the alumni of Appalachian State University etc. I think there is so much we can learn from one another if we simply communicate our ideas and ask questions to our fellow teachers. No matter the grade, or subject, there is always something we can learn from one another and we all seem to struggle with similar issues so why not combat these issues together?
