TC boyle paper

I have chosen the option to compare and contrast. I have chosen this option because I feel like there is more to write about when comparing and contrasting stories. By comparing and contrasting different stories, I can look at two different sides to each story I write about. If I chose the option to write about the theme of the stories then there would only be one side. It would truly be an analysis by comparing and contrasting because I will be able to go into more depth. There will also be more quotes I can use from the story to support my claims.
Out of all the stories, I want to compare and contrast Little Fur People and Big Game. I have chosen to do these two stories mainly because I really enjoyed reading them. The other stories were not as interesting as these two were. If I enjoyed reading these stories so much then I think I will have an easier time writing about them. I also chose to write about these stories because they have many aspects in common but at the same time, there are many differences within the story. I want my two stories to be very similar but I also want there to be a lot of differences to discuss. Not only will it lengthen my paper but it will also enhance the quality.
Even though I have not started a rough draft, I can already see a few of Boyle’s opinions in these stories. Boyle shows throughout the story that obsession can be a bad quality. Neither of the main characters had a very happy ending due to their great obsession with animals. In each story, Boyle describes the main character’s obsessions with the animals. This is similar but when it comes to the way each character approached their obsession is a tad bit different. Boyle made the sweet old lady seem innocent while he made the characters in Big Game seem like pigs.
To be perfectly honest, once I begin my rough draft and plan everything out, I will be fully capable to decide what two stories I really want to write about. For now, these stories seem good but I would like to write it down and be able to see the outcome for each of them. We took notes in class and covered the basics but I want to personally make an analysis for every story because I know there is so much more to cover than what we did in class.
