Out of all the papers that we have written, I feel that the argument paper took a little more time and thought. The process for writing this paper was a tad bit more difficult. The beginning of the writing process consisted of picking a topic to argue about. It took me a while because some topics were not as strong as others. I needed to pick a topic that was very arguable. After I made the decision to argue about increasing the production of oil the process was a little easier. All I had to do was use a reliable search engine and do some research on my topic.
As I searched the Internet for reliable, legit sources, I made sure not to use websites that did not have accurate proof to their facts. That part was not really hard because I was able to use the library website. It was very helpful. Through the library, I could get most of my sources and information. After picking my topic and getting a few sources, writing my paper was a piece of cake. I had the tools right in front of me. All I had to do was type and cite what I took out of the articles. I am glad that you taught us how to cite because I believe I was not citing correctly before.
My greatest challenge in writing my argument paper was not making the same mistakes I made in my Boyle paper. In my Boyle paper, I put information that was irrelevant. In this paper, I tried to make my information relevant to my topic. I also tried not to drift away from my topic. My biggest concern about my paper is that my facts might not be as strong as I would have liked them to be. As I did my research, I realized that the supporters and opponents side both had valid points. I decided to support the increase of production of oil. I thought that the supporter’s side had more benefits to it and it was easier to write about. I hope that the Boyle paper helped me out and realized my previous mistakes.
