Between the two quotes Frost is my favorite, I actually have the same quotes written on my wall at home. I really enjoy the quote because in my opinion it can be taken many ways. Ive heard some say that it is not about being different or taking your own path, its more of a struggle. Personally I take the quote at face value. To me its not so much about trying so hard to stand out but doing whats best for you. I think its a problem when people do something just to be unique with no actual thinking involved, they just do it to do something. I think people lose themselves more trying to stand out then they would if they were themselves and blended in more. When I hear the quote my first thought is the path I choose in regards to my career. Nursing isn't anything unique for a girl a do and yet there is a constant demand for more. Many nursing didn't go to a four year school with a competitive program to get their degree and that was their road less traveled. The road less traveled really resonates with me because I want to live my life doing things different. I don't want to become a person whose soul purpose is to blend in or to try so hard to be unique and stand out that you really never know who you are. I just want to be able to look back and know that I did things my way and that I choose the road that was right for me, and if that road is less traveled and sometimes I have to walk it alone then that's what happens. A person can never really know and understand who they are until they have to face something on their own with no one to fall back to or call for back up. I think that when making a decision like which road to travel you should forget who takes what road and why and do it for you and for your own reason, that's why it will make all the difference.
