Honestly I thought my narrative was pretty good until I got to class and realized that I printed the entire thing in the wrong format because I emailed it to myself to print off in the computer lab and when I downloaded it, it changed to the default settings on the computer and I never changed it back. So Iím just preparing myself for that, at least I wonít ever make that mistake again. Otherwise I think my narrative is pretty good, my biggest weakness is probably the grammar and punctuation, thatís always been my weak point. I definitely think my story and the way I talked about the event and my feelings toward it are the strongest parts of my paper, at least I would hope so sense thatís the easiest part. I wouldíve loved to have spent more time really going through and editing my paper, but I never left myself enough time to do it, something I plan to fix for our next paper. My process for writing this paper started the day we got the assignment, I went and wrote a list of things that I could possibly write about and continued to narrow it down. When I finally decided on one I made a circle diagram how we did in class and wrote key events that I wanted to be included. After that I wrote the introduction which was a lot more difficult than I thought, and trying to briefly describe how this impacted me in my thesis was difficult too because there was so much I wanted to say that picking the most important parts was hard. Once I started on telling the story though it got a lot easier, when I was done I went back through and tried to fix as much of the punctuation and grammar as I could, but Iím never 100% positive about what Iím fixing and if it even needs to be fixed or if Iím fixing it correctly. Iím not expecting a fantastic grade on this paper, especially after my stupid mistake when printing it, but I do think it helped me a lot with figuring out better ways to go about doing my next paper.
