That's a good question! Maybe you could target different interests by contrasting the experience and product - if one student didn't enjoy the shared experience, you could make a product that will peak their interest. Also the experience could be something they did over the weekend that they enjoyed and not necessarily have to be an experience shared with the class or with the teacher. Students could bring in pictures of something they did over the weekend, discuss it, and the class could make the same product but using different experiences. Just a thought. I agree with you though; keeping all students and engaged is a difficult task!
