Supa Squad Lesson Plan Feedback

First off, I wanted to note that the setting of the classroom is very inviting. It seems like a very appropriate setting. If I were a second grader in this classroom, the beanbag area would probably be my favorite spot. Next, I wanted to say that I feel the lesson plan has many good ideas that would be appropriate as well. I like how the lesson plan allows the student to make up their own story, that is meaningful to them. This also allows for them to think critically about a good experience they had. Letting the student relate to the activity is an excellent idea. Asking questions about the story can also help to stimulate their thinking skills to create the story. I really like the idea of allowing them to draw a picture with the story at the end, this will make the activity seem fun to the student. Finger pointing is a really great idea as well to model for the student to use. Overall, this is a really great lesson plan that I think will help the student grow. The only suggestion I have is to model the writing process for the student since they have little experience with writing letters. Before they start writing the letters, I would maybe sit down with the student and demonstrate how to write the first word or sentence they wrote. I feel this would reduce the risk for the student becoming frustrated.
