I think pairing students together is a great idea. I know I have learned a lot that I didn't understand better being paired with another student who was able to explain things in terms that were easier for me to understand. It was as if they were an "interpreter" of sorts for me. I wonder if that is how it works when pairing these students together or if they are just seeing the behaviors modeled and they learn from that? Either way, I think pairing makes sense.
