I love the example of this reading because Preston's teacher is reading exactly how we should all read to our students! I know that students will be more engaged when we read this way to them. Even if students have not yet developed an ability to read texts when we read to them with various expressions and emotions they are learning a lot about characters, plot, emotions, etc. I think that its so important that when we read that we bring the text to life for our students!
