What a great lesson plan! I really liked how you asked prediction questions. I think those are great to check for comprehension throughout the lesson rather than just at the end. I also liked that you found ways to access prior knowledge. One of our articles talked about how not much is known about how students with ASD can access and apply background knowledge, but also how important that is to comprehending text, so I think it was a good move for you to incorporate that into your lesson. I think it's wonderful that you incorporated nonverbal students into your lesson plan. The section where you asked them questions to access prior knowledge seemed like it would just use verbal responses, so how were your nonverbal students going to be involved in this aspect? Those questions were great questions that would require more than just pointing to answer, so I was wondering how they would reply. Great job guys!
