As i read this section of the article, I thought the same thing because I was literally repeating my readings over and over. After I read it a couple times I understood what it meant. I think students, with ASD especially, need this type of repetition and consistency of getting a passage or story read and re-read to them because it helps with comprehension. Whether they didn't catch it the first time because they were tired from no sleep the night before or they were hungry so they were thinking about lunch or maybe they did understand it the first time, it never hurts to have text repeated and reiterated for clarification.
