Time is Crucial
Fri Jun 12, 2015 23:22

There is never enough time to get to every students and meet their needs and teach the materials we have planned. So how do we as teachers or future teachers get that time? The teacher I work with always throws her EC students in the back of the classroom and gives them something to work on and barely monitors or helps them and what happens is that they end up taking their work to their EC teacher and doing it in there. So how do we make sure we can plan activities where we are engaging students and also using our time wisely. I wish every teacher could have a TA, but some schools are not that lucky and that is sad.

I understand how you feel. When I first starting teaching I was a general education teacher in the elementary grades. An opening came up for a special education teacher in one of the schools and I... more
