I agree that it is important to know our students so that we can best tailor our instructions. While I personally have never used self questioning strategies in a group, I believe that they could be useful if the students could see how they worked and were provided with scaffolding. One thing I thought about when Amanda was talking about knowing our students' strengths and weaknesses was this weeks lectures, and how important it can be to know their independent and frustration levels in reading and comprehension. With that information I think it would be easier to individualize and serve our students where they are.
