I agree that the number of strategies available to a classroom teacher might be overwhelming! I think it would be important to identify a strategy that works for a particular student toward the beginning of the time you're working with him or her, then continue to use that strategy throughout your time together. Students with ASD need a solid routine and I feel this is a good way to maintain routine.
