I really liked that your lesson had a theme that was based off a shared experience. I also thought it was a great idea for you to group your students with a range of learning levels but I have seen that often times the higher level students will take control over the group work and the lower level may feel left out and not benefit from the lesson. I think if you know that your students are often helpers, this can work out nicely. I loved that you included a review aspect in your lesson where you had terms that the students should already know. This is always helpful! I thought it was awesome that you had pictures of the items in your materials. An idea to make it a little more hands on, you can include material that is fur like and leather like so that the students can feel what those terms mean. One more suggestion for adding to the lesson is to have a sheet of paper for each group that has question stems or question ideas in case the students get stuck when they are asking each other reading comprehension questions. I loved your lesson! Thank you so much for sharing.
