Response to Lesson Plan

I really like the use of KWL. I used KWL charts with my fourth graders in student teaching and they really loved filling in the "K" section with the facts that they already knew about a topic. I think this is a great way to get students thinking and making connections from what they already know to what they are reading or studying about. One thing that I would like to know more about would be how you plan to accommodate your students with ASD because there seems to be a lot going on in this lesson and one student's description did not seem to do well with over stimulation. I also think that your use of pictures and videos to help students with ASD as well as general education students is a great idea.

Thank you, we really wanted to use a graphic organizer in our lesson since we read a lot about them in our articles for this week.
