I like the organizational methods that you provide in the lesson. These charts are a great way to break up students thinking and let them give special attention to detail. I think that with so many acronyms it might be difficult for the students to remember but once it is done the first couple months with help, they should have it down pat. Plus like you said you can still write it up on the board or have a poster with what each letter means,
One thing that I would do differently is the extra review activity. You said if students need that extra help even after the review you would go back and do the prediction activity again. While I'm sure this is a good way to pound in the predicting skill, I think that by switching it up and doing another activity on the same poem, students might get a more rounded experience with the poem. Perhaps a writing activity or acting it out with hand motions to help with comprehension and reading.
