I'm in Caldwell County and our district uses letterland. The students do seem to remember the characters and the shape of the letters with this program. I think it is more of an introduction to letters though because after 1st grade my son didn't use it. Dr. Koppenhaver posted a link to a writing program.... I'm going to check it out to learn more about it.
