I believe that if a child's handwriting is legible and he or she is completing the work they need to be, it shouldn't matter what their handwriting actually looks like. It is so strange to me that teachers can be so fixated on something that, in the grand scheme of things, really does not matter. It can be so disheartening to a child to bring homework that their teacher consistently marks as incorrect because of something insignificant. Good for your daughter for not letting her teacher squash her creativity!
