I completely agree with what everything was saying! I loved watching the videos of Cole and how thrilled he was to showcase his comic book and talk about his process and even getting published. The teachers did an amazing job introducing a piece of alternative literature. This was a great tool Cole used to express himself and he really enjoyed himself in the process! I too loved how he made himself into a Super Hero. If you saw his "About the Ather" on the last slide, he said that he was bullied a lot. I think that while he was practicing his writing skills, he was also expressing himself on a social and emotional level by having himself fight the bad guys.
