E-Pal Motivation

That was one thing that I really enjoyed about E-pal. It seemed like the students really enjoyed getting to write back and fourth with a college student who wanted to talk and ask them questions. As a middle schooler, I remember how excited I was about getting mail/emails, and how I always wanted to write my best when answering anyone. I think this is natural motivation that we can use to encourage more of our students. Another thing that E-pal accomplishes is teaching the students how to write emails and respond appropriately. In other discussions from this week we have talked about the importance of technology in this age, and knowing how to format and write emails is such a great skill for our students to learn and be excited about.
