Hello Karley! I think it's awesome that you have had the experience to work beside your mother who is a SLP. These are the type of related service people that we will need to form effective relationships with as special educators. I also had a friend in high school who was diagnosed with Asperger's. He was and still is a close friend of mine and taught me a lot about how the world looked through his eyes. I too am excited to learn how students develop as far as reading goes. Good luck in this course and I look forward to learning alongside you!
