I was really interested in the assistive technology, too. It seems like there are so many ways we can now help our students with ASD that it is shameful to not embrace them. You're right in that we need to supply our students with whatever supports their learning. Sometimes the cognitive energy needed to write using pencil and paper is so great that it diminishes a student's mental energy to create.
