I really liked your anchor idea. I found it was a good idea to put the students in an authors shoes. I feel like if the students believe they are the authors they will take the assignment more seriously. I liked the bubble chart too, but I would definitely offer more options on outline layouts for students, in case they didn't like the bubble layout.
