I really enjoyed your lesson plan and I LOVE the layout of the classroom in the lesson! If I were the substitute teacher, I would know exactly what to teach. I also really like that you have the lesson around an up and coming event (in this case Father's Day).

The only things that I would change would be to offer other ways of mapping besides the bubble. Try giving them three different choices. Kids with ASD like to choose. This way they can choose and feel like they have control, but within a controlled environment. And the other thing is I would be careful with things such as Father's and Mother's Day because there are probably children who do not have that particular parent in their life.

Overall, I really enjoyed it and it was well done. Great job!

Angie, we originally had in mind father's day but tried to stay away from giving the children a prompt considering this week's information.
