Overall, I really liked this lesson. I think that Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus is a goofy text that each student would be able to relate to. I really liked how when the teacher was explaining why they liked chocolate ice cream so much that she asked the students, "don't you want to know why i like it?" I thought it was a really unique and straight- forward way to state why it is important to support opinions. One thing that I would recommend is maybe letting the students fill out the worksheets and then taking the lesson a step further and asking them to write an opinion piece!
