I love the idea of using the E-Pal program to encourage student writing. I think that it is important to allow the students the freedom to write whatever they are interested in so that they stay engaged and continue to have fun in the process of writing. I do however think that it if the student could incorporate something that they are learning in the classroom in their writing that they will also be growing in the subject as well as writing. I donít think that it is essential for the student to have a specific topic to write about because this writing lesson can be geared more towards writing for fun.
