I have found that students with ASD enjoy drawing to tell a story. Art could be used as a segue into writing. Also, the point that you make about incorporating technology into our writing instruction is fantastic! The majority of the writing that people do at work these days is on a computer or phone typing emails, so why not start kids off learning to write using a computer?
