I couldn't agree more! I think that these strategies like talking about themes before reading, using illustrations, connecting personal experience to the text, etc. are all great! They are personal and individualized. It takes the student into account and really focuses on what exactly they need. It is always about the student! That is why it is called "special" education! :)
