Thank you for your input. Both of those ideas are brilliant. I think a mixture of both the recording and journaling ideas would be a great way for the teacher to assess each student without the time constraints of a typical school day. I think the journal would be a great way to also assess how accurate the students could read and write as well as give insight into which theories they may be struggling with.
