Amanda, I think that is a key thing to remember when working with all students. Everyone, including us as teachers, will have bad days when we are not functioning at our best. Recognizing this fact and working with it comes from building relationships with our students. When we have a healthy student-teacher relationship we know how to handle the students on their "bad days" and on their "good days". Patience is a characteristic that every teacher needs and one that they will constantly need to work on.
