McKenzi, I really agree that we should not forget to motivate each child as they need to be. Not every child will be motivated by praise or by good grades. Some children might be motivated by doing something they particularly like or by a reward system. I think that we need to try to incorporate all types of praise and motivation types so that we can reach all children and motivate each of them. I think several forms of motivation are necessary. We all will probably have some sort of behavior system-this will motivate children in some way. We should all also verbally praise children, this gives them an extra boost. We should help students to see their improvements. Each of these can help motivate children and each child may thrive from different forms of motivation. Thanks for pointing that out because it is something we should all remember.
